It was time to clean up the Thanksgiving dinner table.  The conversation went as follows...

Peter:  "What should I do with these rolls?"
Me:     "Put them in a ziplock bag."
Peter:  "I think I can just put this towel over them and leave them in the basket."
Me:      "No, you can't.  They will get stale.  Put them in a ziplock bag."
Peter:    "I don't think we have ziplock bags."
(Side note - he has never bought a box of zip lock bags in his entire life)
He then flipped the towel back and forth over the rolls several times.
ME:      "YES WE DO.  That's why I told you to put them IN a zip lock bag when you ASKED me      what to do with them."  ( Yes, I'm getting agitated at this point.)
Peter:   "Yeah, I think I can just put this towel over them and put them in the fridge.  Wait, is that stupid?"
Me:      "YES!!! It is stupid!  Put them in the #$@%^&# zip lock bag."
Peter:    Opens cabinet and stares directly at the box of zip lock bags and says, "Yeah, I don't think we have any zip lock bags."
Me:     Forcefully marches over to cabinet and pulls out box of zip lock bags.  They have been on the same shelf in the same cabinet for at least 5 years.  "Here are the bags."
Peter:   "Huh."

So there you go.
